Community Involvement
From bake sales to tattoo fundraisers, our community shows up for Lucky Penny Kitties in ways big and small. Here are a few of our favorite partnerships and moments.
Redeemer Lutheran Church (Waverly)
The kids of RLC put on a bake sale fundraiser for us!
Girl Scouts (Waverly)
We spoke to and engaged with an amazing group of girls in this Girl Scout Troop. They are all shining stars and have bright futures with big, caring hearts!
HyVee Floral (Waverly)
HyVee Floral put on a month long fundraiser for us!
Ivy Ink Tattoos (Waverly)
Ivy Ink Tattoos had TWO flash sale tattoo fundraising events for us! One in July and one in August!
Hydrite (Waterloo)
Hydrite Helps collected donations of goods for us, and has donated monetarily, in kind, and with volunteer work. We are so grateful for their partnership! They even presented LPK with a certificate of appreciation.
Art Walk (Waverly)
Non-profits supporting other non-profits! We were part of the annual Art Walk here in our town that helped support our Chamber of Commerce. It was a very fun day!
Cy-Hawk Tailgate Party (1st Annual)
Featured the LPK mascot, outdoor games, a bags tournament, raffles, and silent auctions.
Kick Off to Summer Bash 2025
Family activities including kitten socialization, inflatable skee-ball, face painting, lawn games, and vendor booths. Photographer Alexis Rose Photography volunteered her services.

A young volunteer of over a year who organized a lemonade stand fundraiser for LPK.
